On 26 August 2014, the Helen Suzman Foundation, in association with Prolog Consulting hosted a Roundtable discussion on Consultation and the Constitution. This Roundtable featured Prof Mtende Mhango, Dr Iraj Abedian, and the Honourable Deputy Minister John Jeffery.
On 4 February 2014, the Helen Suzman Foundation, in association with the Gordon Institute of Business Science hosted a Roundtable discussion on Equity and Redress. This Roundtable featured Lindiwe Mazibuko, Songezo Zibi, and Eusebius McKaiser.
The roundtable event on the National Development Plan (NDP) was held Monday, 4 November, 2013 at GIBS. The HSF brought together Minister Trevor Manuel, Aubrey Matshiqi, Alex van den Heever, and Iraj Abedian.
On 14 October 2013 the Helen Suzman Foundation held a round table discussion on the land question in South Africa. The discussion was to focus on the themes of “title and entitlement”. The HSF brought together: Nomboniso Gasa, Songezo Zibi, Monty Narsoo, and Leon Louw.
On 30 July, the Helen Suzman Foundation (HSF), supported by the Open Society Foundation for South Africa and in association with the Gordon Institute of Business Science, hosted a Roundtable discussion on the Future of Our Cities. This Roundtable features Prof Adrian Saville, Dr Tanja Winkler, Mr Andile Skosana, and Prof Jean-Pierre de la Porte.
This Roundtable, which was held on Wednesday 22 May, deals with the issue of Accountability in South Africa. A number of themes were expanded on by our panellists. These included the relationship between government and the electorate, the proper role of public officials, public perceptions and expectations, the role of the media and other public bodies, and ways forward. The Helen Suzman Foundation (HSF) brought together a set of panellists drawn from the world of politics, academia, and the media.
