The Helen Suzman Foundation welcomes the creation of a National Water Crisis Committee announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa during the 2026 State of the Nation Address. The announcement comes after HSF endorsed a letter sent by The Peoples' Water Forum, which compromised of a collective effort by 158 civil society organisations, businesses, churches and labour organisations in addition to 3227 individual endorsements.
