Today, HSF Director Nicole Fritz published an op-ed in News24 that addresses our on-going litigation that challenges Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi’s decision to terminate the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit (ZEP). Nicole argues that despite the fact that the Minister has now set the date for the ZEP’s termination to 30 June 2023, our legal challenge must continue. Nicole also explains where the HSF’s court challenge fits into the broader context of migrancy in South Africa.
